Ladies Night Out - Allegany County Chamber of Commerce’s Lucky Ladies Night Out has been rescheduled. The new date is Friday, April 24 - doors open at 5:30 pm – Ali Ghan Shrine Club. Open to the public. A lively evening of fun, laughter and good times. Tickets - $35.00 per person if purchased by March 6th; after that $40.00 per person. Reserve a Lucky Table of 7 for $225.00. Ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres, beer/wine/soft drinks and one free raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing. Themed gift basket drawings will be raffled off throughout the evening; tickets available for purchase. Washington Street Library - The American Presidency in Portraiture, April 16, 6-7 pm. Take an imaginary trip to the National Portrait Gallery and the White House with Rolfe Singerman to view paintings of all 45 presidents. Inspect the first image of a president captured in the early days of the daguerreotype, see and analyze the way painters & photographers chose to memorialize the presidents and how cartoonists through the decades depicted the Commander in Chief.

Speakeasy Casino Night at the Embassy, May 30, 7 – 10 pm. Be transported back to the Roaring 20's when you attend the Speakeasy Casino Night at the Embassy Theatre. Wear your best 1920s clothing and come out on March 28th at 7pm. Hosted by Mayor Ray Morriss, tickets for this benefit are $25.00 and only 100 will be sold. Included in the ticket price is $500 in Embassy Bucks for your gaming pleasure, and a complimentary cocktail from our Passport Cafe. We ask that only those 21 and up attend. There will be several games of chance including roulette, poker and black jack. You will be playing for all sorts of prizes and there will be a contest for best costume.
