The Easter Bunny is coming to town! Hey kids, visit with the Easter Bunny Saturday, April 16, 11 am – 1 pm. He’ll be hopping around McCoury Stage on Baltimore Street. The first 300 kids get a free Easter goodie bag. Tell your folks to bring a camera.

Chalk It Up to Civility – Saturday, April 16, 10:30 am – 1 pm, downtown Cumberland and Canal Place. Use sidewalk chalk to create messages and works of art to express shared positive values. The first 100 families will receive a chalk kit. The Arts Council’s ArtLab will be onsite during the event with artful activities for creative kids.

Please join us for our Greenway Avenue Stadium 2.62 mile Mini-Marathon and 1-mile walk on Saturday, April 23 at 9 am. We are raising money to continue to improve Greenway Avenue Stadium.

The Queen City Striders sanction this event. The event starts at 9 am, with registration beginning at 8 am. If you are not a runner, please come out and walk.

The Farmers’ Market starts Thursday, April 28, 9:30 am – 1 pm in downtown Cumberland. Make your plans to shop local.

County United Way’s annual Day of Caring & Sharing is scheduled for Friday, May 13. Project forms have been emailed to all previous project supervisors. If you have suggestions for projects, please reach out to Jill at United Way by calling 301-722-2700 or emailing her at jill@cuw.org. Projects are due no later than next Friday, March 18. Volunteer recruitment will start once the projects have been received and put into a spreadsheet.

Cumberland Pride is back! We can’t wait to celebrate with you! On June 5, we will gather at Canal Place in downtown Cumberland to bring back our beloved festival.

The headliner is Miss Toto! Raised here with all of us, Miss Toto, aka the Bodybuilding Barbie, Miss Toto now lives in Chicago, IL but started drag in Miami. SCHEDULE TBA

Cumberland Pride is a community event to promote and support diversity in the Western Maryland region. Proceeds support all the programs of our local LGBTQ efforts. Our family-friendly festival includes live music, drag performances, local vendors and community resources.
